dear sir,
i have a new condensing boiler fitted. i have been trying to get my £300 pound back. i have been told i can not get it, as i did not get one of the registered plumbers. i did have a gas registered plumber to fit it.but i still cannot get my money. i am 77 years of age and i am worrying about this. can you please help in this matter.

Those over 60 years old and who do not qualify for the warm front scheme can already claim for a £300 ‘rebate’ on a new boiler installation. Just call the warmfront organisation for an application. visit http://www.warmfront.co.uk/heating-rebate-scheme.htm for more details. Is the proposed new scheme an extension of the current one? Having recently reached 60 I have not received any advice of the rebate, only information of the winter fuel payment scheme, is this an oversight? I’m sure that on reching 60 many would like to know about the existing scheme, where are the adverts? I only found out because British Gas set me an outrageous quote that included a warm front discount, however I know I do not qualify as I am not in receipt of benefits: so i checked the warm front website. Teignbridge MP Richard Younger-Ross told the PRSD: “I am pleased the Government is taking note of the campaign and that we have influenced its thinking.

“This is a great scheme both in terms of the environment and creating new jobs. There are 4.5 million boilers in the UK which are less than 70 per cent efficient and by replacing just some of these with new efficient condensing boilers, we could save thousands of tonnes of carbon emissions, create more work for British manufacturers and in turn create new jobs.”
