Pretty girls are a relief during climate change - Miss Gibraltar is Miss World!

Midst all the messages of doom and gloom about climate change, there was one piece of good news on my desk this morning. Miss Gibraltar had won the Miss World title.

Judging from her press photographs, the victory of the very beautiful Miss Kaiane Aldorino was well deserved. I offer her my congratulations and join with the people of Gibraltar in celebration of this historic victory.

The victory of Miss Adorino, who is a British National, is not only celebrated by the people of Gibraltar but also by the people of England.  At this time of economic recession, her success is a reason for celebration.

I send Miss Kaiane Adorino and her family all my best wishes for a Happy Christmas and hope that as Miss World she will enjoy an exciting New Year.
