The Republic of Mortimer (a one-woman state) sends her most warm and cordial greetings to the People’s Republic of South Devon, notes her many happy holiday memories connected therewith such as the building of early People’s Republican fortified outposts on Teignmouth beach, and communicates her hearty wishes (a) that she could afford to live there and (b) that one day more corners of this pleasant land will follow our self-organising example and throw off the shackles of our oppressors, to wit, the poodle-like mainstream media, the corrupt electoral system and the foul dictator Simon Cowell. Self-determination! For me! And others as well, of course! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”
