Christmas number one for Exeter's Sound of the Sirens

The Sound of the Sirens took the Christmas number one spot in Radio Free South West‘s people’s chart. They recently covered Do They Know It’s Christmas during an Exeter FM session and you can hear this by visiting their MySpace page. The Sirens already have a very busy live schedule for 2010 and you can next catch them live at Molloy’s, Torquay on Saturday, January 16 at 9pm.

Fireflies climb six places this month to take the number two spot with their track Angel of Destiny. They describe their influences as Tarka the cat, the many guitarists of The Blue Aeroplanes, The Foo Fighters, Supergrass, dives of the hungry gannet, nervous birds, a lake in Northern Spain, John Steinbeck, and ramblings, ranting and exclamations of the great Gerard Langley.

Cole Stacey takes the number three spot with his track I Met A Stranger. He is playing an Exeter FM live session on 19 Tuesday, January at 8pm. Cole launches his debut album entitled Changing Faces at The Globe Hotel, Topsham on Thursday, January 21 at 8pm.

Audience votes determine the monthly, people’s chart on Radio Free South West.
