Your usual New Year’s messages are 10 a penny, which is why a message from the future caught our eye.
Called New Year Message 2110, the Kingsteignton Town Forum site carries what can only be described as a sci-fi satire to the plight of Kingsteignton, the largest village in the country.
In this world of tomorrow, Kingsteington itself has been lost to the rising tides – it can be glimpsed during the spring and autumn low tides – the A38 has been moved, clay pits have been extended and the people of Bovey Tracey find it hard to sell their houses.
Chilly thoughts indeed.
