A new East Devon branch of the Green Party will hold its inaugural meeting on Saturday, January 16 at 2pm at Twyford House, Sidmouth. With the Greens now represented for the first time on Devon County Council and a General Election looming, local party members are can add their voice to the growing Green movement in East Devon.
According to the group’s initiator, Sharon Pavey, ‘the Green Party isn’t just another political party’.
She told the PRSD: “Green politics is a new and radical kind of politics guided by core principles, like building a sustainable society that guarantees our long-term future.
“If you would like a fairer, cleaner, more affordable future for everyone, if you are disillusioned with the other political parties and want to be part of something different, something exciting and new right here in East Devon, then please join us!”
All are welcome to the inaugural meeting.
