In Parliament today (Thursday, March 4), Teignbridge MP Richard Younger-Ross (who will be fighting the new Newton Abbot constituency) asked the Leader of the House Harriet Harmon for a debate on Youth Inclusion Projects. He highlighted the case in Teignmouth where the project has contributed to a drop in anti-social behaviour of 40 per cent, but now the county council has withdrawn funding.
Richard said: “This is clearly a very successful project which is of great benefit to local communities. I am looking to find other funding to allow the project to go ahead and have already been promised some money from a local body. I am also in contact with the council, asking them to consider a reduced allocation to enable the project to continue.”
