Totnes has had three Green Councillors since the Spring when Anna Lunk won a by-election with a sizeable majority.
Now that District Councillor Robert Vint has ‘crossed the floor’ to become a Green Party member we have a total of five local govt. Green Councillors in Totnes : 3 at town level, 1 at District and 1 at County.

Dr Richard Lawson, who was to have been the Green Party Parliamentary Candidate for Weston-super-Mare, has regretfully decided to withdraw his candidacy, in order to increase the chance of the Liberal Democrats taking the seat from the Conservatives.

Who are: Paula Black (as noted) Jacqui Hodgson (Totnes town council) Alan Gorman (Totnes town council) Indeed, we'd even covered the story ourselves in the dim and distant November, 2009! Shucks. And remember – especially if your memory is as porous as ours – the Greens can add to that number with the by-election for Totnes Town Council on Thursday, March 11.
