MED Theatre is beginning a new video game project for young people, Loricum Video Game. Based on the true story of flooding a local valley to create a reservoir and the mixed local reaction, the game will have multiple endings dependent on character choices and task completion, with a point and click format to control multiple characters and objects.
After receiving training in all aspects of the process, young people will take lead roles in creating an interactive CD/DVD video game. They will learn how to devise and script the game, the preparation of artwork, model-making and stop-motion animation, video filming and editing, and basic game programming.
The project will be taking place in Moretonhampstead on the east side of Dartmoor. Any one between the ages of 13 and 19 who would like to get involved should contact Abby Stobart or Gillian Webster at MED Theatre on 01647 441356.
