Passionate about your marine and coastal environment? Join the Devon and Severn Marine Management Organisation!

members sought for marine managment organisations

The Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities are looking for people to be appointed as ‘members’  who are familiar with the needs and opinions of their local marine and fishing community, plus those with knowledge or expertise in marine environmental matters.

Devon and Severn is one of the 10 Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities, which will be made up of representatives of county and unitary local authorities, there will be single representatives from the Environment Agency, Natural England and the Marine Management Organisation itself.

The Marine Management Organisation is expecting to appoint between 10 and 14 members to make up the balance of membership.

They are looking for people from a wide range of interests with local knowledge – including commercial fishing, sea angling, conservation, recreational and tourism, ports, marine research, marine heritage, and other industrial interests in the sea.

If you’re interest, apply online at the Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities members’ site, or phone the ‘recruitment team’ on 01256 383669 for more details.

The closing date is Monday, April 12
