Get to know your Devon BNP candidate!

We thought a Devon BNP candidate round-up was in order… erm… you know what we mean.

But we don’t know that much about them, so we’re calling on the public’s help in a crowd-sourcing experiment. What do you know about your BNP candidate? Have you seen them at a hustings? Did they help you across the road, carry your shopping, or stare at you menacingly trying to work out if you’re ‘from round here’? Is your BNP candidate a racist or a bigot?

Devon has just six BNP candidates in Devon, and they are, in no order of intolerance:

Nick Baker – Devon West and Torridge
Minority religious Orange Order member… wait a minute isn’t that mainly a Northern Ireland organisation? Wasn’t William of Orange Dutch?

Robert Farmer – Exeter
We don’t think he is a farmer…

Gary Marshall – North Devon
A former fire-fighter who is now fanning the flames of hate (do you see what we did there?) Interestingly, the North Devon Journal ‘requested an interview with Mr Marshall, but was told it was BNP policy that candidates were not to talk to the media’.

Roy Cook – Plymouth Moor View
In his own words: “I am a Plymouthian and after battling against cancer, a proud father to three children. An ex-Territorial Army Commando and Tree Surgeon, I hold a Diploma in Art & a ‘BA’ Honours degree in History/English Literature.

“I sincerely believe the BNP are the only party that will speak up for the British people and preserve our way of life.”

The British way of life being multi-cultural, of course.

Ann Conway – Torbay
Ann was a nurse.

Michael Turner – Totnes
A retired former civil servant… does that mean he had a career as a former civil servant – coo, that must have been hard

If you know anything about the mass of contradictions that makes up this angry bunch, then drop us a line. Comments below, please (oh, and please read our Community Guidelines)
