Rise, the voice of South West social enterprise, and Social Enterprise Coalition are getting hot under the collar about the future of social enterprises come the new regime and are asking parliamentary candidates to sign up to the Social Enterprise Charter to recognise and support the work of social enterprises across the UK.
The social enterprise groups are calling on you to strong arm your candidate into the charter to join such political luminaries as David Cameron, Nick Clegg and Caroline Lucas.
But who of your local £65,000-a-year chasing wannabe politicians, have signed up to the charter?
Well there’s one Lib Dem, one Labour, one Tory, one Green and two UKIP candidates who have taken time out of their busy door knocking to sign the social enterprise charter. And they are
Jackie Hooper, UKIP, for Newton Abbot
Colin Matthews, Green, Central Devon
Adam Symons, Lib Dem, Torridge and West Devon
Carole Whitty, Labour, Sarah Wollaston, Conservative, both Totnes
Hugh Williams, UKIP, South West Devon
