Crapfest! One of the last celebrations of summer... and local bands

Crapfest wickets

Right at the end of the festival – and cricket – season is Crapfest (named after the place where it’s based… Crapstone), and taking place, as it is, on Saturday, September 11, it could well be your last chance to get that festival vibe from a host of local bands.

Crapfest is organised by Buckland Monachorum Cricket Club to help raise funds for a much needed new pavilion – the old one is made of asbestos and is falling to bits!

Not only will the festival help the club to raise funds, it also aims to give local acts stage time to help them boost their profiles.

And among those bands are Kitty and the Lost Boys, The Diggurz, Edd Lane, Jo Harris, Dr Thud’s Remedy XLR, Kirsten Smith, Rory Dyer Chloe Jones, Cas Davey and Sound House Youth Brass Band.

Children’s entertainment 5pm to 6pm, and the bands from 6pm to midnight.

The ‘day’ starts at 5pm with an awards ceremony for the ‘Bucks’ (BMCC’s youth team) and children’s entertainments, with the bands playing from 6.30pm onwards. There will be a BBQ (with a vegetarian option) and also a licensed bar selling local real ales, including Dartmoor Brewery’s Legend.

Tickets are available at £5 per adult and £1.50 per child and can be bought on ebay (CrapfestUK), at the Drake Manor (Buckland Monachorum) Who’d Have Thought It (Milton Combe) or via email via the website or the cricket club

Camper-doodle-do, there is no camping at the festival site. There is a local caravan park in Crapstone and there are some camp-sites in the area.
If you want helping finding somewhere- drop us a line!

Any chance of camping at or near the festival site?

You'd need to ask the Crapfest organisers. Anyone?
