Transition Newton Abbot gives guidance on 'future shape of Teignbridge' consultation

Your local council has decided to consult on the Local Development Framework and you’d like to respond, but what the heck does it all mean? In the face of Teignbridge Council’s ‘future shape of Teignbridge’ consultation, Transition Newton Abbot has put together their responses to talk through some of the issues.

The deadline to respond to the Teignbridge Local Development Framework Core Strategy (that’s LDF CS) is Friday, September 10, and is all about how the council copes with the predicted 30 per cent growth in population and housing and the associated infrastructure delivered by the district council in the next 20 years.

The Transition Newton Abbot gang has discussed and prepared a response to the LDF CS along with an over-all statement.

A Transition Newton Abbot spokesperson said: “We encourage everyone to respond to this on the Teignbridge web site.

“There is a lot of associated material, we have therefore tried to explain (where necessary) our chosen option and the background to this.

“You should make up your own mind on how to respond, but we hope that the collective views expressed here will help you do this.”

To respond to Teignbridge’s Local Development Framework Core Strategy and access to all supporting documents go to the Teignbridge Consultation Portal.

You will have to register on-line to respond and apparently the form filling is a little tedious, so you may find the option to e-mail your personal response easier.
