Low paid council staff to get a £250 pay rise in Teignbridge

Teignbridge District Council has awarded its low-paid workers a £250 pay rise – the only council in Devon to do so. The Chancellor George Osborne announced the provision for public workers paid under £21K in his first budget, but local government – other than Teignbridge – doesn’t seem to have taken the opportunity.
