These are worrying times – the vulnerable are the first to be targetted in the government’s cuts, regardless of the human cost. New tests to reassess how vulnerable and incapacitated people are not only marks a new trend towards a less caring world where responsibility is privitised (and run for profit), but crassly puts lives at risk.
Here’s an article from The Guardian outlining the failures of the Coalition Government’s policy – here’s a quick pull out from the third paragraph:
“…tragically there have already been cases where people have taken their own life following problems with changes to their benefits.”
No wonder government officials don’t put their own name on letters…
