The Big Blueprint – a great opportunity for Plymouth artist

If you fancy taking up the The Big Blueprint opportunity – funded by Plymouth City Council Arts Unit and supported by The Plymouth City Centre Company, the BBC and Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery –  get your arty skates on! The closing date is today (Friday, June 24)

The Big Blueprint is an opportunity for artists to showcase new works within Plymouth.

Plymouth City Council is looking for an innovative and original image for a creative site in a central location. Plymouth is host to the only Big Screen south of Bristol and to expand on the cultural offer of the site, and it is looking to select a third contemporary piece of artwork to be displayed on the south facing view of the screen.

In addition to the display of the works at the site, each selected artist will be represented at the Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery in 2012.

For the artist’s brief and application form, pop over to the Plymouth City Council Big Blueprint site, and if you’re successfully, you’ll get £750 for your trouble.
