The National Liberal Party spends a lot of time saying just how not racist it is – to such an extent that it wants the UK to be more like Switzerland – that haven of gnomes, transparent banking, and Fifa.
Switzerland “may not be perfect in a number of ways” concedes the NLP scamps, but it does have (drum roll, please) referenda!
“Most recently the Swiss opposed nuclear power via such a referendum,” according to the NLP, who want the public vote introduced to decide levels of immigration, for example.
