Newton Abbot Red – that’s Anne Marie Morris – led the Devon charge against the government, followed by Totnes MP Dr Sarah Wollaston, and Devon South West Tory MP Gary Streeter.
Another less surprising rebel was Torbay’s Lib Dem Adrian Sanders.
Mel Stride and Oliver Colvile voted not to have a referendum on the EU.


Quite right too, since our continuing EU membership is the most pressing issue of the moment, coupled intimately with our economic wellbeing as well as our sovereign independence.
