Craster Reach, Craster – From the south, we head right up to Northumbria – a hub of many coastal cottages. This property is found in the village of Craster and is a wonderful spot for families over Christmas. An important fishing harbour in the 1600s, it is known for cured kippers but there is much more than that to see from this property.
Balvatin Cottages, Newtonmore – There are so many holiday cottages to enjoy, and from the north east we jump above the border to Scotland. Sat in the Cairngorms National Park, these terraced cottages are welcoming to visitors and offer a base for a vast array of activities – from walking the seven-mile ‘Wildcat Trail’ to bird-watching. There’s something for all the family.
