Since coming back from Holland time has just whizzed by like nobody’s business. I’ve been planning, emailing, printing and organising the final bits and bobs for my tour which kicks off this Friday – May 11 – (can’t wait!).

So the final dates for my Tea Total Tour look a little something like this… (drum roll please):

MAY
11th – Bayards Cove Inn (Dartmouth Music Festival) – 8pm
17th – Acoustic Cafe (Tavistock Wharf) – 7pm
18th – Eden Cafe (Supporting Joanna Chapman-Smith)
19th – Miss Peapods (Supporting Joanna Chapman-Smith)
24th – Phonic FM (Live Acoustic Set) – 5pm
25th – Boston Tea Party, Honiton
26th – Folking Live! (Bracknell Arts Centre)
JUNE
1st – Online Gig @ www.stageit.com/funkeegirl 9pm
2nd – Stoke Fest (Stoke-in-Teign-Head), 12pm
8th – Calstock Festival (Calstock Arts Centre)
9th – The Studio Lounge, Totnes
14th – The B-Bar, Plymouth
23rd – Live Lunch Sessions (Salisbury Arts Centre) 12pm
30th – The Blue Bar, Porthtowen
JULY
7th – Festival of Firsts, Wirral

I did have to chuckle last week, as I broke my record for how many gigs I had cancelled in one day lol. I had the first three shows of the tour cancel (all were good reasons so they have been forgiven!). But it has taken bloomin ages to pull all this together, the most painful bit is organising all the advertising the promo stuff, which seems to absorb about 90% of my time, but hopefully it’ll be worth it!

Lisa has done a fantastic job of making some swanky posters for me, check em out:

As I mentioned earlier the first gig is happening this Friday, so in between emails and other not so exciting stuff – I’ve been trying to grab my guitar as often as possible and practise all the tunes from my new album. They’re only now just starting to feel a little less scary to play and I feel as thought I can relax a bit more and think a bit less.

For this Friday’s gig I’ll be joined on double bass by James Kirk (and before you ask no, he’s not the chappy from the star ship Enterprise, well I don’t think he is anyways…). We had a rehearsal last week and it all sounded rather nifty, so can’t wait to let everyone hear the set.

Oh and if you’re in a video watching kinda mood, I uploaded some vids to my Youtube Channel (www.youtube.com.funkeegirl) from the online CD Launch Party that happened last month. It was such a fun evening, and the Gingerbread making contest is most definitely worth a watch! Very funny!
