Natalie Bennett, the new leader of the Green Party, who is the only party political leader with a degree in Agriculture, took time during the Green Party conference to chat with Green Party councillors from East Devon: Emily McIvor from Axmouth, Sharon Pavey from Honiton, and Henry Gent from Broadclyst.

In her first speech as leader of the Green Party, Natalie Bennett promised to support farmers, cooperatives, and small businesses.

Natalie Bennett is taking over as leader of the Greens from Caroline Lucas, who is standing down at the height of her popularity in the party and the country. Caroline Lucas wants to concentrate on her work in parliament as an MP, and to refresh and strengthen the Green Party with new leadership.
