Coalition sneaks in NHS privatisation

It’s no surprise, really, that the Coalition government is dead set on privatising the NHS, but the publication of ‘unchallenged regulations published by the Tory-led government last week laid bare its plans to privatise the NHS,’ according to the Morning Star.

It’s the introduction of “compulsory competitive markets” and the extension of competition – you know, where companies profit massively from you being in need of care – are clear indication of the demise of the NHS in favour of a ‘health market’.

The government’s move has been called a “massive sneak attack” by Health Emergency’s John Lister, and the Green Party has called for the covert privatisation of the NHS to be resisted.
