The Torbay and South Devon Energy Exchange is a place to offer and share skills and services.
So far set up as a Facebook page, the idea is to offer a simple space to gain what you want for a fair exchange of something that you have, in a system that is very similar to bartering.
For example, the person behind the idea, Janet Astle, who runs the Gaia Place, offered any of the Gaia Place’s services in exchange for getting her garden cleared.
Janet says: “I have always strongly felt that we all have something to offer and why not share that gift, skill, tool, energy for something that one of our other members have in exchange?
“We are all valuable and have something to offer here!”
