The kind of thrills we prefer in the PRSD office are vicarious, and exciting as we are sure being chased by bulls is, the online 360° film option seems a better choice than taking part in the medieval festival.
The Chase movie – see above – and The Chase 360° (click through) are part of a campaign from Volvo trucks showing just how manoeuvrable these hefty beasts are – that’s the Volvo FL distribution truck, not the bulls.
The devil-may-care wags at Volvo thought it would be a ruse to do their own Run With The Bulls event. So they popped off the one of the birth-places of Spain’s famous (infamous?) festival, the medieval town of Ciudad Rodrigo in north west of the country.
But this time, along with the people who were running alongside the bulls, there was a Volvo truck, painted red and driven by a stunt driver.
We are reassured that all the safety precautions for the bulls and people were put in place, and that the bulls have now been ‘retired to a farm outside Guadalajara, where they will enjoy their retirement in peace and quiet’.
The Volvo people are being quite daring in their demonstrations of their vans’ ability, and #TheChase is the latest in their series of live tests, which has included a hamster steering a truck up a perilous quarry, amongst others.
Take a look at the film, try the 360° approach and see the fact sheet below of what was involved in the filming of The Chase. You can also follow #TheChase to add your opinions of the movie.
