It’s that pumpkin time of year when those Jack o Lanterns take centre stage, learning out with sharp eyes and spiky grins, but a Teignmouth artist has turned pumpkin carving into an elegant artform
Teignmouth artist Harbz has been showing his skill in carving beautifully grotesque pumpkins.
Harbz won a pumpkin carving competition Powderham, for which he won a 200lb pumpkin as a prize, which seems an odd prize, you would have thought he’d had enough of pumpkins at that point. But not Harbz, he carved the Powderham pumpkin into a dragon, which he donated to Paignton Zoo. Pop along and take a look at it – apparently its by the zoo’s main entrance.
The mega pumpkin took over 12 hours to carve, and Harbz has form in his pumpkin carving, he’s won an online competition in New York as well as one in Leicester, as well as as the Powderham outing.
