The people have spoken, kinda, via the populist democratic tool of social networking this is, in this case, Facebook. The ‘I F**king hate Nick Bye. Mayor of Torbay‘ Facebook group has 452 members, whereas ‘Nick Bye- Mayor of Torbay appreciation society‘ has just 60, and most of these seem pretty ironic.

Did you know buses are cool? Apparently it’s what the kids are saying, in so far as 900 of them (from 42 schools) took in the ‘Buses are cool’ cartoon competition in support of Devon Car Free Day.

The blurb says that this is the most personal show from the Taddiport artist since her Everything I’ve Ever Done exhibition in 2001. Shan isn’t afraid to show intimate images in work – more than once courting controversy – but it’s often a defiant intimacy, whatever the subject matter (she’s the only person who’s made me look twice at the picture of a cow).

People come across your blog in a variety of ways - Google, a link from another site or email, etc. Once they’re through the ’shop door’, it falls to you to get some mileage from it. A sticky website is one where a first time reader arrives and finds it difficult to leave.
