Young and unemployed – figures double in Teignbridge

Some 520 people under 25 years olds, resident in Teignbridge, claimed job seekers allowance in September 2009, more than double the number in the same month last year and almost three times as many as in September 2007.

Fat cats at the Maritime and Coastguard Agency? Torbay MP Adrian Sanders highlights unfair pay structure

Do Fat Cats like water? Apparently so, if they are anything to do with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA). According to Torbay Lib Dem Adrian Saunders ‘senior management and board members received on average a 15 per cent increase on top of a six figure salary’, while ‘frontline staff received a shocking average pay increase of just one percent’.
