Ecoteers, are you ready?

If you want to change the world, and reading, commenting on and telling your friends about the People’s Republic of South Devon isn’t enough, then maybe you should just sling your ‘ook (in the nicest possible way) and try some volunteer placements around the world.

Ecoteer, devised by Daniel Quilter from Eggbuckland, offers to put volunteers and projects together for, well not a lot, so the projects themselves can get the benefit. And hey when they ‘believe the way to solve human inequality and environmental destruction is to provide more people with the chance to experience first-hand the real problems in other countries and communities’, you just feel you want to put the kids in the backpack and head off.

So what sort of stuff can you look forward to? Volunteers can chose ecotourism, conservation, humanitarian, teaching, research and organic farm projects throughout the world. What’s keeping you?
