You can dance if you want to…

High heels and 40 metres of electric blue silk, who could ask for more from a night out?

Whenever someone’s billed as being a fusion of contemporary dance with classical Indian dance and martial arts, you have to sit up and take notice - the last time that sort of thing happened was in Monkey, and we all remember what fun that was.

Dancer Liz Lea moves between styles and influences from Sydney, London and Bangladesh (which may well all be on a straight line - if only I had a globe to check). And as a solo artist blow audiences away with her energy, stance and fantastic stage presence.

So step out to check out her stepping out (in high heels and 40m of electric blue silk)- she’s on at the Exeter Phoenix on Tuesday at 8, tickets at £10 and £8.
